There are often many obstacles and hazards to avoid on the road. These obstacles can lead to car accidents that can cause serious injuries or even fatalities.

Recently, a bicyclist was killed by a semi in Chicago. The bicyclist was biking in the bike lane when the door of a parked car opened. The bicyclist swerved to avoid the door and entered the path of a semi. The truck driver was found not to be at fault for the accident and no criminal charges are expected. The driver of the car who opened the door was cited for opening a door in a bike lane and failing to yield to a biker.

Car accidents can have devastating effects on those involved. They can often lead to serious injury or even death. Often times these accidents can lead to expensive medical bills. Victims of accidents often seek compensation for their injuries.

When seeking compensation for a car accident, the victim must prove that the driver was negligent in operating the car. To prove this, the victim must show that the driver failed to take reasonable care given the circumstances. What this means is that the victim must show that a reasonable driver would have acted differently given the circumstances to keep the road safe. The victim will have to show that the driver who caused the accident knew or should have known that his or her actions would cause an accident.

Negligence can be a hard thing to prove. An attorney is in a good position to assist with this process and to help victims recover from serious injuries.
