Alexandra Baczynski – University of Illinois College of Medicine
Congratulations to Alexandra Baczynski the 2020 Law Office of Steinberg, Goodman, and Kalish Annual Academic Scholarship Winner
The daughter of Polish immigrants, Alexandra graduated with a bachelors in English and environmental science from Loyola University Chicago in 2016. Upon graduating, she volunteered in a free clinic in Maggotty, Jamaica, for a month where she discovered a passion for caring for underserved communities. Upon returning home, she began interpreting for Polish patients at Community Health, the largest volunteer run free clinic in the nation, fostering patient provider interactions. After receiving a master in medical physiology, she is beginning medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine this fall. There, she was accepted into the urban medicine program where she hopes to continue serving and advocating for patients on the south and west sides of Chicago.
